Have Yourself OOO Merry Little Chri-mah.
So I've been listening to the Christmas CD I got from Sam last year. A very strong Christmas mix, by the way. Anyhoo, included is a version of 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' by Tori Amos, and she does something very funny. She sings "Have yourself ooo merry little Christmas."
"Have yourself OOO merry little Christmas"??? As in, rhymes with "goo." Chris nearly died laughing when he heard that. It's beautifully done, but "ooo"? Tori, what are you doing?
As if that weren't enough, when she finally uses the word "a", she says, "Have yourself a merry little Chri-mah." "Chri-mah", as in Christmas with no 's' sounds. I guess when your Tori Amos's producer, listening in the sound booth, you think, "Whaddya gonna do? She's Tori freakin' Amos."
